How to request deletion of your GainHelm data

Overview

GainHelm respects your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of all data associated with your Amazon Seller Central account at any time. This page explains the deletion process, what data is removed, and expected timelines.

Account Deletion

Delete Your GainHelm Account

When you delete your GainHelm account, all your data is permanently deleted within 48 hours.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your GainHelm dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings → General
  3. Scroll to the Account section
  4. Click the Delete Account button
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

What happens after deletion:

  • • Within 48 hours, all your data is permanently deleted
  • • Amazon SP-API tokens are revoked and deleted within 48 hours
  • • Billing is cancelled immediately

Manual Deletion Request

If you want to delete your data without uninstalling the app, or if you need expedited deletion, you can submit a manual deletion request.

How to Request Manual Deletion:

Send an Email

Email us at [email protected] with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"

Include Required Information

In your email, please provide:

  • • Your Amazon Seller ID or email used to sign up
  • • The email address associated with your GainHelm account
  • • Confirmation that you want all data permanently deleted
  • • (Optional) Reason for deletion request

Wait for Confirmation

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion (either via uninstallation or manual request), the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

Amazon Seller Data

  • • Seller account information and settings
  • • Product catalog and ASINs
  • • Order history and line items
  • • Cost and pricing data

Advertising Data

  • • Amazon Advertising spend history
  • • PPC campaign data
  • • Connected ad account IDs

Authentication & Security

  • • OAuth access tokens (encrypted)
  • • Session data and cookies
  • • Login history and IP addresses
  • • Security logs specific to your account

Reports & Exports

  • • Generated profit reports
  • • P&L statements
  • • Dashboard configurations
  • • Saved date range preferences

Data That May Be Retained

Anonymized usage statistics and aggregated metrics may be retained for service improvement purposes. This data cannot be linked back to you or your store and is used solely for analyzing product features and performance.

Uninstallation Method

Automatic

Timeline: Within 48 hours of uninstalling the app

Confirmation: No email confirmation sent (automatic process)

OAuth Tokens: Deleted within 48 hours of uninstall

Manual Email Request

Manual Review

Timeline: Within 30 days of receiving your request

Confirmation: Email confirmation sent once deletion is complete

Verification: We may contact you to verify account ownership

Backup Removal

System Process

Timeline: Up to 48 hours after primary deletion

Details: Encrypted backups are automatically purged from our backup systems

Note: Backups are never restored without your explicit authorization

Revoking Amazon SP-API Access

In addition to deleting data from GainHelm, you may want to revoke GainHelm's access to your Amazon Seller Central account:

Amazon Seller Central

  1. Go to Amazon Seller Central App Authorizations
  2. Find "GainHelm" in the list of authorized apps
  3. Click "Revoke" to remove access

Note: Revoking SP-API access will prevent GainHelm from syncing new order and advertising data, but does not delete historical data already stored. To delete historical data, follow the deletion instructions above.
